Car to Sihanoukville

If possible, it is better to travel at 7.00 am rather than at 12:30 pm. Setting off from Phu Quoc on the early ferry and not until around 5.30 pm will you arrive in Sihanoukville – a 10 hour journey! It is possible for you to spend a couple of hours waiting around at the border (even if your visa has already sorted) so expect it to take longer than you think. Bring with you some loads of snacks and do not expect luxurious travel conditions. The conditions will probably be pretty cramped and uncomfortable as drivers will try to cram into the bus as many people as possible. Minibuses are extremely cramped and few have working A/C, do not expect luxurious travel conditions.
