LIFE ON THE LAKE
Life on the shallow, 13.5-mile freshwater lake is utterly captivating. There are no roads or sidewalks to speak of. The locals and travelers just get around in one-person-wide wooden boats outfitted with outboard propellers, which emit a noisy whine when at full throttle and depending on water levels the boats can be raised and lowered. Hpaung Daw U Pagoda is a notable Buddhist site in Myanmar, located on the Inle Lake in Shan State. Hpaung Daw U Pagoda is one of the prominent sites in Shan State and well-known for its most wonderful festival in Myanmar. With Burmese architectural style, the pagoda is the most important symbol of religion of the area.
